She was born out back and her mother is Nasty Mom. She was a fantastic mother with her kittens and the kittens that Emily abandoned. Ginger nursed six kittens and three were not her's. All lived.

For more than a year now Ginger was coming over a fence to eat. She has never bunked in the garage and I have no idea about where she was sleeping but she'd take most meals here in the driveway.

This morning I was out for my muffin run before 6:30 a.m and when I got back just before 7 it was still dark and "pre-dawn" due to daylight savings time. I got out of the car and collected the feed platters from Tuesday night - I knew my arrival would have a parade of cats coming out of the garage for a breakfast and it did.

But what got me was seeing Ginger coming out of a pile of hay and a soft mattress from a cat condo to catch her morning meal. She won't let me pet her but she knows me from the day she was born and understands that I am not a threat to her. She can never be a house cat but I still lover her just for being the super mother she was.

AW...maybe she has reconsidered sleepng at "home"
