The bride had driven into Queens to visit her dear friend Enid who is 85 and lives alone. The wife does this once a week as Enid is recovering from cancer and they worked together at Merrill Lynch for decades.
When Mary rolled into the driveway it was late in the Big A card and starting to rain. That's when the girl I married brought out piles of great food for the outside cats since she was worried about the cats eating well tomorrow when heavy rain is in the forecast for all day. And she knew I'd be up in the man cave until after the getaway race was official. Her heart is huge.
