I was safe, sane and sober but had stayed up too late to see the Islanders double-overtime victory against the Florida Panthers. I was thrilled to see the rookie Alan Quine catch the goal with a sensational "one-timer" on the power play. I stayed up to see the post-game show and interviews. I didn't get to bed until well after 1 a.m.

At 6:17 the momcat Mister Mittens was on me for her breakfast and I threw her out of the bed. I slept on.

At 6:42 the momcat was back in my bed. My left food was out from underneath my covers and she parked herself by my old foot. She nipped my foot with her four fangs (no blood) and when I woke up she was glaring at me with her "green dagger" eyes.

I got up and after a pee, fart, scratch and moan I fed the cats at 6:45.

Nope, cats do not have any impact on on their master's behavior.
