I had all the windows open from the sunshine and warm temperatures on Friday but by Saturday morning it was damp and chilly and I was happy to be under some disgusting blankets in my ancient T-shirt and ratty drawers. I awoke as usual at dawn and found a plump momcat sleeping just off to my left. The bed is huge and the wife sleeps downstairs in expensive and sanitary comfort so I reached over with my right hand to grab a crusty lap blanket. I threw it over the cat and she responded by licking my hand and stroking my hand with the soft pink pads of her right front paw.

She didn't start jumping up and down on my groin for her breakfast until 5:58 a.m.
