I told the wife and her girlfriend Enid that I would make the run to the Jewish bakery over in West Hempstead for some of the best rolls and bagels to be found anywhere but I was told that they were going out for breakfast and then stopping by the nursery and ShopRite for groceries.

The wife is a perky pup at 62 but her 80-year-old friend Enid worked with her and mentored her for decades with Merrill Lynch. I know Enid almost 40 years.

No good for the bakery trip but I asked the wife to pick up some pansy plants so that I could become more like a Liberal and think about what public restroom to use when I'm out and about.
