The wife brought out lots of food and fresh water for the feral cats. The house tom Trouble got out the side door and mingled with the cats that were eating. Two street toms approached Trouble with their tails straight up and everybody got to sniff noses.
The intact toms were making peace with the biggest cat out there, a neutered tom that allows cats to catch a territory outside of his house.
Cats are strange creatures.
