I was safe, sane and sober when I went to bed all alone. I was in my drawers with a light comforter over me. The AC was on and I figured to doze off with the John Batchelor talk radio show going from the night table via WABC.

I woke up some time later when my ribs on the left side got slammed by a momcat rump. I reached over to pet Mister Mittens' head and she grabbed my right hand in the dark with her two fronts and then lifted her head to lick my hand. I thought I could get scratched but her claws never showed. The AC was working well and later on in the night, after I got up to pee with a prostate gland the size of Wyoming up against my bladder, I was able to put a blanket over her.

Thursday morning? I woke up flat on my back under my comforter just before dawn with compression to my chest. I thought that God and time could take me but the chest discomfort was being caused by a momcat "Sphinx" that was staring at my blue eyes with her green eyes. She touched my chin gently with her left front (claws in) and when I made a move to get up she took off like a rocket to get downstairs to sit patiently by her feed dish while I went through my old creaky morning motions. She got fed.

Played by a cat at my house? Flunky to a cat at my house?

Can't happen.
