I was worried some months ago about the beautiful orange and white kitten Stubby with the short legs. The cat was small and shy and caught the "leavings" from the food I laid out. The legs grew.
Fast forward to today. Stubby grew up a bit and bulls her way into the food I lay out. After I fed the cats this morning I was at the kitchen table to have my breakfast - corn muffin and Cheerios with sliced banana. Apple juice and fresh-brewed Maxwell House (sprinkled with Colombian for bite) were on the table too. Out the kitchen window I can see out back and I saw Stubby on the garage roof. The cat was thrilled to be alive and running all over the roof. The cat had climbed up a tall stump and then leaped up to get on the roof.
The cat jumped to get on the cloth gazebo roof and then just walked around carefully one paw at a time with great stealth, unsure of the footing on the cloth roof. Cats are amazing creatures to watch and I only wish I could save them all from my neighborhood.
