This tune is out of 1944 by the Pied Pipers and was written by Johnny Mercer, a fellow that has written many familiar songs that are still heard today.

Mom would be 97 this year and Pop would be 101 but my mother told me that this song had her holding the old man tight at night while she "dreamed" about peace, Pop's healing wounds, a house on Long Island away from Brooklyn and her pregnancy with my late sister Martha (hey, they were married in '41!)

We got out to Long Island in 1953 but my mother adored this recording by the Pied Pipers and so do I:
