On a good note, so do the Lib Dems.

Get serious for a minute. The very same reform package that just passed was 95% identical to the Republican alternative in 1993 to the Clintons, pushed by such socialist thinkers as Bob Dole.....it wasn't socialsm then and it isnt now. Try reading something other than BS talking points and try putting things into historical context.

I believe this bill breaks the law. In our constitution we do not force people to buy a sevice they do not want. This Bill will put you in jail for not paying the Gov't for sevice you may not want. This is not what our forefathers set in place, forced payment on services the Gov't decided on each individual. If you're a young man or women in good health and has no desire to have Health care, who is the Gov't to say you have no choice. Freedom Died Flag, No choice.

I agree that forcing people to own a health insurance plan is unconstitutional for the same points that you raised. Health care is a right, not a privilege, and while American citizens should have access to affordable health care, that access should not be made mandatory. If they wish not to carry an insurance plan, yet are able to afford one, it's a dumb choice IMO, and it should be their burden, not the taxpayer's.

we are forced to buy all sorts of products we may not want, auto insurace leaps to mind. The gov't forces us to participate in Social Security, reagrdless of how we feel about it. I understand the furstration, but freedom dies is a bit much.

Nobody without an automobile has to purchase car insurance. Social Security was never meant to be an "entitlement". It was money laid aside from people that humped, hauled and worked so that when they became old farts they might get something back from their contributed earnings to help them out as they aged.

Social Security $$$ goes out now to bums who claim disability and didn't work much. Old baby mamas on the dole who never worked can catch some if they once had a dead ex-con baby daddy that held a job. I paid into Social Security for 40 years while sometimes humping 2 and 3 jobs to get the mortgage up to date. I'm told by the government that I will owe taxes on my benefits while my neighborhood is jammed with illegals going to school on my dime and grabbing welfare money because there's a Mexican in the house that was dropped here and is an "American Citizen".

I'm 62 and will be dead when the entire shithouse that used to be a great nation collapses.

When more hands are out than hands working... you fill in the blanks.
