The cats' water bowl outside was frozen solid this morning since the temperature was 25 degrees with nasty wind gusts that had the wind chill at 11. Monday's rain was cold and miserable but the snow fell north and west of Long Island. With the wife still down in Virginia via car trouble I went hiking this morning for the papers and some bread and eggs. I got layered up and put on the gloves and heavy winter jacket with a hood.

Last week I had plans to put up the gazebo thinking about cold ones, a topless barmaid from Honduras and racing outside. And planning the vegetable garden. This week I'm checking the gas in the garage in case I need the snow blower again.

And yes, Al Gore has another barge load of oil on order to heat his mansions.
