I just talked to her down in Virginia. She expects the power steering on the Chrysler to be repaired today (Tuesday) for about $800 and then she's driving home. John is flying out to LA tomorrow for a wedding and a trip to Santa Anita and needs a ride to JFK at 4 a.m. tomorrow. I can cover that no matter what time she gets home.

Bottom line: The teen bride says we need a second car and her solution is to buy a new one for her jaunts and to keep the 2011 Chrysler here as a spare. Sounds good to me. I could use the car all summer to cruise the beach for chicks while blasting Jan & Dean surfer tunes.

The sweet wife got home after 11 last night and I got to bed at midnight. I dropped John off at JFK at 4:30 this morning for his 6 a.m. flight to LAX. He'll be at at Santa Anita Thursday.
