Mary Ellen Driscoll was born April 13th, 1893 and was a Cork woman. In the states she married my grandfather Pat in 1911. Granma sent all four of her sons to WWII, three grandsons to Korea and two more grandsons to Vietnam. All came home and she was proud that "her sons" covered the United States Army, the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps with honorable service.

My grandmother was a poor Brooklyn Irish woman her entire life but she gave so much to her adopted country and I miss her a ton.
