It was very warm in my hovel until I installed the window air conditioners up in the man cave. With the wife away and me upstairs in my drawers safe, sane and sober on Thursday while thinking about air conditioning the cats came upstairs to be near me and flopped on the floor for their afternoon sleep after lunch. It was cooler near the floor but not cool at all since a fart could make you sweat from the exertion.

Most cats instinctively do NOT want to be on the ground for sleep but cats do understand temperature and my three wanted to be near me and laid low.

With the upstairs air conditioners installed on Friday I had the man cave as chilly as the Italian girl who gets asked to dance by the Irish boy. Beats sweating in your drawers for sure at night like I did as a lad when only rich people had air conditioning.

I went to bed in sweat pants and a T-shirt wrapped up in just one light comforter. I was dozing off when I detected something landing softly in my bed to my left and scurrying to get beneath the comforter. It was not a blonde teen girl running away from a great modeling career in Sweden - it was the momcat Mister Mittens.

I woke up this morning with my comforter over and my right arm around the momcat.

The momcat yawns a lot in my bed. The wife too.
