I was asleep when the left side of my face caught a soft bap. I woke up. I could see with the early dawn.

Just to my left up by my right shoulder was the momcat Mister Mittens. She was "sphinx". I stared into her emerald-green eyes with my old blue eyes. She put out her left front paw (claws in) and noodged my chin gently. I reached over to pet her skull and rub her shoulders but she took off like a rocket to go downstairs to go sit patiently by her feed dish.

She knew I was awake and would get up to feed her after moaning, farting, scratching and peeing. And she was right. It took some time but she just sat calmly by her feed dish. Cats are calm and patient when they know something good is coming.

Cats are bright creatures for animals that sleep a lot.
