Granddaughter Allison and her BFF Casey graduated high school together in May and on Thursday they will be here to catch a Broadway show and flop for a few days while doing the tourist thing in NYC and on Long Island. I was forced by a certain woman to clean the upstairs man cave and meticulously vacuum the carpeted stairs that go there. I last cleaned up those stairs in 1988 and they've looked fine to me ever since. I also have been tasked to scrub the kitchen floor which comes natural to me having descended from a long line of Irish scrubwomen. Keeping the peace and doing something for a wife who does more for me than I deserve is really not a bad deal. |
