Allison is 18 now and is my only grandchild born out of a marriage. She will be here tomorrow with her BFF Casey who was a house guest several years ago to see New York for the first time out of Virginia. She's a sweet young lady and her parents felt well about my bride taking care of the girls. Amtrak out of Richmond to Penn Station and the Long Island Rail Road will get them to the Baldwin station on Thursday afternoon. When they arrive the teen bride of just 43 years will be there to drive them to our house. Me? I'll be safe, sane and sober off a shower and a shave with clothes on when the girls get here but I'm not certain about jamming the dentures into my face. Jeez, Allison is a beautiful kid and I could maybe grab a good hug & kiss with her when she gets here tomorrow as some tears get my face wet. I think that might happen with my granddaughter. |
