The East Meadow WalMart is a bigger store than the closer Uniondale WalMart and that's where the 62-year-old teen bride landed today before her food shopping. The East Meadow WalMart has a huge can of diced chicken packed in water on the shelf that sells for $2.38 (no tax) a can. At my house we eat whole chickens stuffed and chicken parts out of the oven with great seasoning. Smashy mashies and peas go well with the meal. And cranberry stuff. What happened tonight after I battled Saratoga with dollars and deuces all day? The bride laid out platters of diced chicken in water for the feral cats. And topped it off with kibble and fresh water after I brought out some platters of wet cat food. I knew that Mary was sweet girl at 16 when I first met her and I'm glad that she's still nearby. |
