Caught An R.E.M Tune Thanks to 1/8 Pole - Religion?

Some years back I would hear this song on the radio while driving to a job. I liked it - especially the lyric "That's me in the corner" but I never caught the name of the song although I knew R.E.M. made it.

Have a son out of 1977? John knew it well and a few weeks ago we played it loud at my house.

I really like them......when my Dad died in '93 their hit "Everybody Hurts" was big. Dad is gone 23 years on the 29th of this month and that song still chokes me up.
I would post it but don't know how.......
