Post subject:  Saturday's Snowstorm & My Maintenance Failure

We got about 9 inches of snow Saturday but the snowblower was running rough and smoky. It was stalling too. I didn't know if I needed a plug replacement or was running with gas that was too old but I wasn't about to play "mechanic" in 17-degree temperatures. I should have had that machine tuned up and ready to go in the fall but I didn't and paid the price with shoveling.

The snow was light powder so I caught a break. When the bride came out to grab shovel #2 I caught a bigger break. Wednesday, when the forecast calls for temps in the 50s with rain I will be out in the garage getting the snowblower right with a new plug, an oil change and fresh gas. There's no excuse for not having your gear ready for when you need it.
