There are only two of us here now and I thought that the wife's 8 and 1/2 pound Purdue chicken was a bit much but she had a plan. The leftovers are grand for cold sandwiches and hot meals but platters of chicken, the wings and the carcass have made some feral cats very happy this week. Feral cats with plump bellies during winter are a rare sight but we've got some here. A lack of deep snow so far has been a good deal for both man and beast. |
