The teen bride of only 44 years cooked up a magnificent Easter ham on Sunday and later on drove her girlfriend Enid, our weekend guest, back home to Queens before driving out to Huntington to see some cousins and her brother.

The girl I married back in '73 had some coffee this morning and something to eat but she was tired. I patted her rump and gave the side of her face a kiss. I told her I liked her a little bit and that I appreciate everything she does here. I think I hugged her too but at my age it's difficult to remember back that far.

This afternoon while I was rubbing my rudder at Philly Park she went to bed for a nap. Shortly after, the tom Trouble jumped into bed with her and flopped up against her. I checked a few races later and saw that the wife had not been ripped by claws or punctured by fangs. She and the cat were all snoogled up in a comforter and sleeping peacefully.

This trial marriage may last beyond its 45-year expiration date and the three cats here may be kept in a "forever home". I just need a little more time to figure out my options.
