Yes, there's only two people at my house - the girl and boy that got married in 1973. No, there was no Easter Sunday mob at our home on Sunday. Enid was here but she's a small lady and doesn't eat much.

Like a lot of supermarkets ShopRite had a deal going back to early March that $400.00 spent by Easter meant a free ham. That was easy since the wife does our major food shopping there and I'm in there most mornings for a warm muffin, cat food, bread & milk and anything else that thrills me. Some days ago when we were "over the top" the wife brought home an enormous ham.

This morning I stayed in since my newspapers get delivered now and I made myself a breakfast of ham & eggs, home fries, cottage cheese and apple sauce. Rye toast was on the side (imported Irish butter and jelly). In a glass I had apple juice and out of the Cuisinart coffee gizmo was a mix of Maxwell House and some Colombian.

But Easter Sunday night, the teen bride trimmed the enormous ham to save the leftovers. There are only two of us here.

Yup, you guessed it - she laid out platters of diced ham for the feral cats and the enormous ham bone all loaded up with meat. The cats outside had a great meal.
