I turned in shortly after 10 p.m and since it was going to be a rainy night and a nearby window was open I was buried into some blankets and comforters. Temps down into the forties with no heat going can make a room chilly. Some few minutes later in the dark the momcat Mister Mittens jumped into bed with me and flopped with her usual "rump slam" into my left hip. I rubbed her skull, ears and shoulders. And then I pulled an old lap blanket off of the top of me and laid it out over her. From the digital clock I can attest that she let me sleep in until 7:03 this morning before she began working my face with a front paw (claws in) for her breakfast. I may not toss that damned feral feline back out into the street. |
