I hadn't seen the huge grey tom in about a week but at 6 a.m. this morning when I laid out some fresh water, kibble and platters of wet food up the driveway trotted Sad Face. He's been eating and bunking somewhere else but he knows he's welcome here and all the cats know him and like him.

He ate well before trotting back to wherever his territory is. Since I trapped him and had him neutered he's no longer fighting for females and he looks terrific. All of his old wounds are completely healed and he has a shot to live an OK life.

You'd been asking for him and I had to post that I saw him hale and hearty and looking good.

Even when he was "intact" there was a gentleness about this cat that drew you near him. He's fine when I pet him- he has never shown any sign of aggression to me. I'm sorry he's still feral - he'd have been a beautiful house cat. He could be hungry but he just sits while smaller and younger cats eat. He's a sweetheart.

Thanks for update. If they stay away from road...they all have a good chance to live long, healthy lives.
