| Post subject: | Friday's VA Clinic Visit |
I wear my U.S.M.C. baseball cap whenever I go to the VA for a doctor visit or like yesterday for a lab job during which the VA takes some of my blood and urine a week before I see my doctor. I see nobody but old farts like me there but I like that I'm treated well with great respect and dignity. And I especially like seeing old vets I don't know. We just simply nod to one another in greeting and give each other that "we've been there, I love you" old bastard look full of love. 4-F'ers from my day and guys that never served just wouldn't understand. |
