I got my parts Saturday so today 12/12 I finished the assembly with the temperature out back at 47 degrees since tonight we go into a deep freeze. The mechanical adjustments were tricky and I hope to never see a "control cable turnbuckle" again or a "chute flange".
After I put in the oil and gas and figured out what to do with the choke, ignition switch, throttle lever and fuel valve lever the damned thing actually fired up. The five forward gears worked as well as the two that go in reverse. And the augers turned. I think I'm ready for some snow although I don't want to see any.

Yesterday morning I was puttering around out back with the new snow blower when the temperature was up in the high 40s and I was comfortable in the garage.
This morning on Long Island we have sunshine with the temperature at 21 degrees. That's too cold to be working outside with hand tools unless you absolutely have to.
