He's got to do time to send a message to his former colleagues in Albany. The pissoff for me is that everybody knew Uncle Joe was a thief and crook decades ago. If you're not too old to steal, you're not too old to go to prison. It's a shame what he did to New York and a bigger shame that it was the Feds that nailed him as he got pass after pass from the state. Think about that when Attorney General Andy Boy runs for governor.

Uncle Joe got 2 years, but is free until we call him to report to club met.

If I got two years for shoplifting ladies' underwear at WalMart I'd be in the can tonight but Uncle Joe is a memeber of the thieving New York political elite and gets to sleep in his own bed tonight after stealing millions over several decades. And he keeps his 6-fig public pension. And he's got no report date. And it's dollars to donuts he remains free for the long drawn out appeal process.

Yea, the Supreme court could vote what he was charged on unconstitutional, and he could walk free.

Thirty days for a decorated veteran caught for a minor grope on a crowded bus. Sixty or ninety days for drunk and disorderly with your pants down in public.

Maybe no time for a state pol that stole millions over decades and had free box seats at Saratoga.

I'm not fond of minority criminals but there does seem to be injustice in the justice system, especially in New York.

I supose the next step in the process is for the Friends of Joe Bruno to hold a massive fund raiser to wipe out Uncle Joe's legal fees.

I read a news report this morning that Joe's lawyers are already petitioning the court to void his conviction.

Unless you steal from millionaires or billionaires, it's a slap on the wrist
