I know it's colder in other places but 6 degrees with some wind is nasty. ShopRite had two registers open at 7 a.m. and two customers including me. The cats' water bowls outside were solid blocks of ice and the kibble I had out overnight froze and turned white.
The feral cats were waiting for me when I got back from ShopRite with some groceries. I laid warm meals and water out for the cats and put the coffee on. I will will not be packing a lunch and heading to Jones Beach today.
Maybe NEXT week the temps on Long Island get above freezing.
