The black tom Tuxedo was born here, eats here, lives here and likes it here. He got trapped, vaccinated and neutered here. I had him in the palm of my hand when I brought out clean new bedding for his mother Ginger out back in a cat condo as I laid Emily's kittens into her. And Ginger took on double duty as a super momcat who gave birth to 3 that were alive and nursed 6 as if they were all her's.
Near noon today with the temps above freezing. I brought out some platters of cat food to boost the diet of the feral cats since they were not eating normally during the recent 14 days of sub-freezing temperatures.
Tuxedo trotted up to me with his tail straight up in happiness. I leaned over to pet him. He closed his eyes with his tail and face pointing at the sky while I gave him back rubs, side rubs, skull rubs, ear rubs and chest rubs.
He's a sweet gentle soul and I'm just sorry that he's not a great house cat for somebody. But hey, I do the best I can to keep him alive, well-fed and thriving. He's got a good home and bed out back in the garage with some cats that adore him and that ain't bad for a feral.
