Two deaths have been attributed to the storm so far in New York and trees are down all over the place. Power outages were everywhere but beyond some flickering lights, rattling windows and flying garbage cans the wife and I made out OK.

This morning I made the trip to Riesterer's Bakery for some rolls and my favorite plain crullers but before I left I warmed up the car and knew I had to feed some cats out back - they hadn't eaten in about 36 hours from being laid up in shelter for the storm. I laid out three platters of wet food, huge bowls of kibble and warm water before I left and there were gobblers on it in no time. When I got back I brought out more platters of wet cat food and gobs of tuna and sardines in warm water. It's still very windy out there but the rain is gone and I'll just keep laying out food if any feline shows up hungry. My buddy Tuxedo rubbed up against my ankle in happiness - he knew I was doing my best to take care of him.

We saw Miss Bristol trot out of the garage at one time for a bathroom break. Cats will not foul up the place where they shelter.
