The busty teen bride and I are happy to be eating well and not dependent on the government or anybody else for a good meal but it's a tough pull cooking for two especially when a great piece of premium meat is on sale. Last week the beloved bride scored a lovely prime rib on sale but it was more than five pounds. We enjoyed it and the leftovers too.

And then today the wife diced up the last couple of pounds, warmed it up and laid it outside for the cats out back while I was diddling with the Philly Follies. Lordy, I never saw so many cats with their tails straight up in happiness while eating. Cats do indeed like medium-rare prime rib warmed up and served on pristine platters.

When I got back from the early ShopRite run just before 7 a.m. this morning Tuxedo trotted down the driveway to greet me so I had to lay my groceries down and rub him up a bit. He's got a super-soft shiny black coat and a very happy plump belly. A few minutes later he was on a great breakfast of canned chicken and sardines in warm water.
