I saw on the news that there was some snow in Louisiana and that this morning it was 29 degrees in Dallas. Outside at my house this morning the cats' water bowl was frozen solid and now I know why the cats out back have been gobbling much more food than usual - they know that carrying weight and loading up with fat reserves are the keys to surviving cold weather. They'll eat well everyday with me still upright. Fortunately for them they have the cat condos and the garage loaded up with cat beds and straw to keep them out of the wind and dry. |
