On Long Island it got darker than a coal miner's ass at 2:30 p.m. when the heavy rains came. The outside temperature was at 51 degrees so I wasn't very worried about the outside cats. They are all hunkered down dry and safe in the many cat beds that are in the garage or in the outside cat condos that are loaded up with blankets and straw.
The cats were fed very well this morning and if they don't catch a meal this evening I know well that they are all plump and healthy and would rather be warm and dry than be drenched and eating. I'll be laying out extra premium cat food for them in the morning. Extra tuna and sardines too. And warm milk.

This morning I was laying out food and Tuxedo and Garfield ran up to me (tails up) for pettings and rubbings. Little Catty Patty screamed and galloped into the mix to be rubbed up too. She's a tough little cat.
