Post subject:  Friday Night's Cat Bunky Story, Wooley
Like most old duffers I have an enlarged prostate gland that can bother my bladder now and again. In the middle of the night going into Saturday I awoke to go pee but found a sleeping momcat flat-out and jammed into my left hip up to my ribs. She wasn't there when I went to bed. I peed and got back into bed and I made sure I was jammed into her back again. In cold weather I sleep in a tangle of comforters and blankets and I tossed a blanket over the momcat. The heat is down next to nothing overnight via the programmable thermostat. I rubbed the cat's head and shoulders. She purred and licked my hand.

And then before dawn she was head butting me gently so that I might get up to serve her a breakfast. She is a cat off the street from eight years ago but I am still the human flunky that she allows to share her territory. She sleeps when she wants to sleep. I sleep when the momcat doesn't want to eat.
