Near the conclusion of the racing program at Philly Park I announced to the wife that after race five my pony account had been up by four dollars and that I was dreaming of emeralds and diamonds for her for Christmas. And that races six, seven and eight had not treated me well. To which she replied: "Now it's pebbles from the yard, right?" |
