Post subject: | Thursday Night's Cat Dinner |
Well, they did eleven races at Gulfstream and I was around for the entire card. After the races it was dark up north on Long Island, the wife was out and I had to get the garbage out to the curb. And so I did. There were many cats by the side door. They know I feed them before it gets dark but I did not do that today. The rain and wind had let up and I explained to the cats that a great meal was coming. Garfield, Bosco and Tuxedo came up to me for some pettings and rubbings. And they got some pettings and rubbings. I laid out extra platters of Friskies and extra tuna & sardines for the cats. I was late and tried to make up for it. Good warm food for cats in January means a lot to them. All of the outside cats I feed are in good shape with decent "belly bags" that hang just forward of the groin. Cats store fat there for lean times. Mother Nature has designed cats well. |
