It was 2 degrees when I fed the cats outside this morning. People in Chicago and Minneapolis think 2 degrees is tanning weather.

Near dawn I was missing two regulars for breakfast - Mr. Orange and Sad Face. Later when I went downstairs to put on a pot of coffee I saw them sitting in the driveway staring back at me through the window. I brought food out to them. The big problem is that wet cat food and water freezes so quickly but I'm here all day and can shuttle out warm water and food as needed. It's sunny and 8 degrees at 10 a.m. and some cats out back are perched atop the cat condos facing the sun and enjoying the weather since the winds have stopped. Cats are tough animals. If they stay dry, have shelter available and catch good food they can withstand very cold weather easily.

Minus 24 here. And that is not including wind chill. Is -50 wind chill.

4 deg here in Southborough Ma this am. :roll: Warmer than NY :mrgreen:
