at the BLACK. never played a day on the links in my life but I love seeing the pros being tested to the limit like this on this beast of a course. Hopefully we're done with the rain for the week.

I could get into golf if there was some defense at the hole.

Hitting a ball and walking after it to hit it again is not a sport to me.

Guys that take your lights out on a pool table are better athletes and don't take all day to win the game.

My office is within walking distance of Bethpage State Park and this week is going to be a nightmare in terms of my commute. I don't get all the fuss over golf.

I'm considering selling my employee parking pass too. Won't kill me to walk an extra 100 feet to make some money.

I stunk at football (3rd-string linebacker in high school) but I was A-OK in baseball and even got to play semi-pro for $40 a game out of the Marines in 1969 and 1970.

No how no way will I ever understand thousands of incomplete pansies watching idiots hitting a small ball whose only mission is to get near an undefended hole in the ground.

Male ballet dancers are better athletes after the curtain comes down (from what I've read and heard).

Two or three Marine riflemen off the line should meet some golfers making a fortune for being incomplete males.

Now I finally know why that 1 for 20 Bethpage Black (but oh, what a 1!) has that name.

When was the last time any Horse race track donated millions to Hospitals, and kid cancer centers? NONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Golf (PGA) and (LPGA) doesn't work on gov't handouts, or pay for players to pitch and catch, nor hit each other with pads on. It's a game of mind over muscle, and teaches young players discipline. Golf is a Billion dollar buisness world wide, and is played with the same rules world wide, not like horse racing, baseball, football, basketball drug enhancment programs. It's not a dirty game where you wear cut offs, flip flops, and a tank top.

Golf has it's drunken player in John Daily.

Golf is the biggest charity donor of all sports, period.

Other than that

Expect rain all week
