Black cat. One white dot on his chest, one almost white toe. Son of Emily and almost dead when deserted by his mother at birth. Was trying to nurse on dirt behind a bush when I found him. Wasn't breathing when I got back with a Q-tip to clear his mouth and get the dirt out of his tiny nose. Gasped for breath when I worked his chest and belly in the palm of my hand. Taken in and saved by Ginger who gave birth the day before. Top fangs overlap his lower jaw. Beautiful yellow/green eyes.

Tux has always been here and doesn't go wandering. He has a great bed in the garage and was curious as a kitten. He was the only outside cat I could pet when I brought food out. All year around on a decent day I'll sit on the side steps after coming home to pet Tuxedo.

I fed the cats outside before I made the beer and muffin run to ShopRite this morning. Coming back and going to the side door I saw Tux poke his head out from behind the house. I laid my grocery bag and beer on the top step and sat on the second step. Tux did a quick walk to get to me.

I rubbed his neck and shoulders. I rubbed his back and worked his face, ears and belly. And his skull and chin. He was under my legs, over my legs, around my back and on my lap. He mostly kept his eyes closed while enjoying the attention. His belly was warm to the touch and plump.

I think Tuxedo the cat trusts me.
