Looks like there are a number of laws in the process of amendment in NY:

Prostitution - Legal
Drivers License for Undocumented Immigrants - Legal
Marijuana - Legal
Feeding wildlife such as Pigeons and Squirrels - Illegal

Basically I can pimp out an undocumented teenager and pacify her with cheap weed. Will get in lots more trouble for feeding a pigeon at the park.

I have never seen any "progress" with progressive law making.

Old ladies in NYC that don't bother anybody while sitting in the park to feed the birds and squirrels now face huge fines and jail time for being kind to animals.
