I was in my recliner watching TV when the barrage started. I have no idea where Shiloh and her mother Mister Mittens were (and I'm glad) but the huge tom Trouble was with me all agitated. He was between my legs on the recliner all jumpy with his green eyes wide-open looking like dinner plates. No amount of petting could calm him down but he never had his claws out when I was holding him close. He was frightened but it wasn't me that was doing it.

More fireworks in suburban neighbors allowed now than when I was a kid
