I can't find him anywhere. It's been days now. I've been through the garage and all over my property. Behind the bushes and behind the garage and every place else nearby I can think of. I was hoping to find him so that I could rush him to vet care if he was sick since I have three house cats and the limit has been reached.

If he's dead at least he caught three years of good food every day to go along with fresh water and a soft bed out of the weather in the garage or in a cat condo on the deck.

After the nightcap at Saratoga today I laid out platters of good food for the cats outside. And some gobs of Bumble Bee chunky tuna in water.

Present for a great dinner were Nasty Mom, Sad Face, Ginger, Garfield, Bosco, Catty Patty and Tuxedo.

I'll ponder and feel poorly about the disappearance of Mr. Orange just like I felt heartbroken when Emily vanished but Lordy, three house cats off the street were all my wife and I could do.

Maybe call town shelter. He is spayed. :?:

Did Mr Orange wander off? Maybe the vislas spooked him?

They certainly did not. He wouldn't move for them and when they got too close he hissed and they backed off. He would just lie down in front of them like they were not there. Was something to see.

On Friday morning when I was bringing out platters of cat food I came up short since a very hungry Mr. Orange was sitting in the driveway staring at me. I hadn't seen him since last weekend but there he was in the flesh - looking all scruffy and unkempt as usual. I was so happy to see him I almost had tears in my eyes.

I don't know where he was or what he was doing all week but he was walking normally and had no wounds. I'm going to make sure he catches lots of good food all day. Made my day.

IMO, I think Mr Orange was really disturbed the vislas "invaded" his territory. You report he is an "odd" cat. He figured it these "vislas" moved in...he was moving "out" :!: :roll: I think Mr Orange has the human equivalent of Aperger's syndrome.

What are the signs and symptoms of Asperger's syndrome?

lack of social awareness;
lack of interest in socializing/making friends;
difficulty making and sustaining friendships;
inability to infer the thoughts, feelings, or emotions of others;
either gazing too intently or avoiding eye contact;

Mr. Orange has always been a bit "off" but the other cats accept him and treat him as a family member. They happily share the food and water with him. He's a gentle soul and I'm happy to care for him.
