I had mentioned that he had gone missing for some days but showed up for a meal and that is true. He got back here on July 12th but what I kept quiet about is that after that meal he vanished again. That was eleven days ago.

This morning I had some errands to run so I got out of here late at 8 a.m. just after the heavy overnight rains let up so I was able to lay some platters of food out for the cats. Upon my return at 9:30 there was a wet scrawny, raggedy orange cat sitting by the empty food platters. I couldn't believe my eyes - it was Mr. Orange.

I brought out more platters of food for him, kibble and clean fresh water. I have no explanation but he looks like he needs some meals. I hope he sticks around. That cat is an enigma to me.

Went looking for his Vizsla friends maybe. He was only cat that was not afraid of them. Would try to engage with them.

And now he's gone again.

He came back after a day. He's been outside everyday for several days now.
