I have information on good authority via messenger pigeon that TheFlagIsUp and his bride are celebrating a 7th wedding anniversary this evening.

Last year on my 35th wedding anniversary I slid into bed next to my wife in the dark and then heard the sound that no old Marine can ever forget - the sound of an automatic pistol having it's slide pulled back and let go to chamber a round out of the clip.

Happily, I wasn't shot as I galloped to my upstairs enclave.

I can't believe I ddint see this post. We did celebrate, this evening with dinner. But our anniversary is actually Flag day.....part of the reason I chose my handle. Thanks for the kind words.

She has seen the pictures of the rail rats, and heard the stories of the downstairs saloon and Potters Pub, and yet she will no doubt encourage me to return to the scene of the crime.

p.s I did not mention One-eyed kathy, the dumpster and what the rat saw.....
