Several outside cats are affectionate with the wife and I but none more so than the black cat Tuxedo. Bosco, Garfield, Sad Face, Catty Patty and Tuxedo all happily accept pettings and rubbings when I bring food out to them.

But Tux? On a nice morning when I bring back groceries from ShopRite and lay them down on the top and sit only Tux races up to me and goes under my legs. I rub him up all over and work his shoulders and head with both hands as he squirms and waltzes back and forth with his eyes closed in great happiness.

A couple of mornings ago the sun was out and no wind was blowing with the temps near 50. I sat. Tux galloped up to me and the rubbings and pettings were on.

As often happens the robust and sweet orange guy Garfield walked over to the steps with his tail straight up to the sky as usual in peace and happiness. I had Tux under my legs for pettings and I reached out to rub Garfield's skull and shoulders.

In a flash I had Garfield under my legs for the first time with Tuxedo catching belly rubs, back rubs, shoulder rubs, skull rubs and massive ear pettings. Two cats, four closed cat eyes. We had a good time. Not a claw or fang in sight.

I wish every outside cat I care for could be a house cat but the three house cats here already outnumber the humans. Most feral cats get dead in a hurry. I just do what I can for the ones outside.

Bravo!

Cats like human contact...demonstrated by the Feline Family...regardless of "housing arrangements.

The FF is happy, healthy, warm and free to roam their territory!
