This morning it was doing that misty drizzle when I brought out a fine breakfast for the cats outside. Everybody was in attendance except for Mr. Orange who is ALWAYS here for a meal no matter how cold it is or how wet he gets. He is always first into the warm soup I make up with ground up tuna, canned chicken and sardines.

I was concerned and prayed he was not laid up sick somewhere or worse. And then I took off to run some errands and hoped that he was still flopped in a warm dry bed in the garage and coming late for breakfast.

The wife laid out a great cat dinner as the skies were darkening going into 9th race at Aqueduct (and no she wasn't playing). Front and center by the huge stainless steel "Great Dane" feed dish for some warm stew made up of smashed-up tuna and sardines was Mr. Orange.

I know I shouldn't but I care for the outside cats as much as I do for the three cats I took inside to be house cats. But I went nuts trapping them all to get them neutered and vaccinated a few years back and I've provided food and shelter to them ever since. Every day, no days off. Being an old-fart mush heart is just something I do with the cats. Can't explain it.

Oh no. :( MrOrange again.  Maybe he is "slow" and wanders :?:

It would be odd if you didn't care for the :?: :?:" FelineFamily of Downton Abbey "as much as the inhaitants of the "main manor" :)

Gee it is cold.... I hope Mr Orange comes to his "senses"
