On the brighter side for this now April 28th I am not catching any more NYU/Langone bills for my latest CT scan, pulmonary tests and consultations. The VA had no cardiothoracic specialist on staff and referred me to private care at no cost to me. I am entitled to that via my Marine Corps service and having been knowingly poisoned by my beloved Uncle Sam.
The bills would knock your socks off but mine have now been declared to be $0.00. Apparently the VA has finally been paying for my private care while I sigh and remain in limbo with the pandemic.
I'm in OK shape but many cancer patients in need of surgery have been laid aside while the downstate NY hospitals have been overwhelmed with Covid-19 patients.
I'm thinking that as the weeks and months go by a lot of cancer patients are going to be taken beyond the time frame during which surgery could save them. And that is very sad.
