Yeah, I'm watching it.
Sometimes in soccer while nothing is happening a guy will fall down and then cry to a ref. I'm thinking this is a play they work on.

The U.S. just scored but a strange man in funny clothes raised a flag that looked like my old Aunt Flo's drawers or maybe the Maryland State Flag and it's still nil/nil.
Nil/nil is UK English for "Still not a *&%$ing thing happening."
England is up 1 zip VS Obscenia.

The game is over but then some strange little man runs on the field and waves a sign that says you can play another 4 minutes.
Going into the last minute of the 4-minute game after the clock ran out on the real game the Americans scored a goal.
U.S.A. 1/Algeria nil is the final score (the little man with the sign that makes you play some more didn't show up a second time).
Now I suppose the FIFA will fire the ref for allowing the American goal.

For any stoppage in play due to injury or anything significant, they tack on the extra time as the clock doesn't stop when play stops.

On a serious note I am very happy that the U.S.A. advances. I actually snagged a varsity letter one year in high school playing soccer and I know all the rules. I played defense as a 'fullback' and we actually had a pretty good team with some kids who came from Poland, Germany, Greece, and Italy on the squad. And no, none of them were illegal alien border jumpers back then.
