I've been feeding the cat but he stands off and never comes for food when I come out with the warm water and feed platters. The cat regulars do not bother him or run him off - he's a mellow and gentle cat that I believe used to be a house cat. He eats well once I'm back in the house.

This morning at breakfast time he was down low in the driveway like the "Sphinx". The regulars were eating well. I got some great food to Midnight while talking to him gently. He didn't race away to the back of the house. I was able to lay a great bowl of premium cat food in front of him and got to maybe five feet of him.

I'm hoping that he'll be in my lap at the side steps for pettings and rubs when the weather gets warmer along with Garfield, Bosco and Catty Patty.

Trust takes time between a human and a feral cat.

The wife saw Midnight coming out of the garage yesterday so it looks like he found himself a bunk.
